Sending Money to a Guest On Board

Friends and family can send money to guests on board using one of the following services:

MoneyGram Express Payment

Money will only be transferred from our office to the ship during regular business hours. The transaction is usually received by Carnival within 15-20 minutes from MoneyGram. If it is the weekend or after 5:30pm ET during the week, the money will not be accessible to the guest on board until the next day, during regular business hours.

Call 1-800-MONEYGRAM® to find the nearest agent location or logon to www.moneygram.com, or visit your local Walmart store.

Payments

  • For online transactions, you may pay with a credit or debit card or directly from your bank account. Transfer fees apply. 
  • For transactions at a MoneyGram location, you may pay with cash only. Transfer fees apply. 

Procedure to transfer money

  • The MoneyGram Express payment should be directed to:
    Carnival’s Receive Code #4174
    Company Name: Carnival Cruise Line
    City: Miami - State: FL
  • Account Number: Provide the guest's reservation/booking number in ‘Account Number’ field 
  • You must specify that the money is for guests on board a cruise ship. The following information must be provided: Guest’s Name, Booking Number, Ship and Sail Date and Stateroom Number. 


Western Union Quick Collect Service


Money will only be transferred from our office to the ship during regular business hours. The transaction is usually received by Carnival within 15-20 minutes from Western Union. If it is the weekend or after 5:30pm ET during the week, the money will not be accessible to the guest on board until the next day, during regular business hours.

Cash Payments
Western Union offices do not accept credit cards, personal checks, agency checks or cashier checks for payment. Carnival has a special arrangement with Western Union for you to pay a flat fee of $12.95 USD for cash only transactions.

Credit Card Payments
Western Union will accept payment with Visa, MasterCard or the Discover Card. To make a payment with a credit card, you must call  800 634-3422 and provide all required credit card information. This service is not available for transactions originating in all states. Transaction fees applies.

Online Service Payment
The Quick Collect Online service allows payment to be sent via the Western Union website, www.westernunion.com. Acceptable forms of payment are with a Visa or MasterCard, credit card or debit card. Transaction fees applies. 

Procedure to transfer money

  • Identify yourself as a ‘Quick Collect Customer’
  • Carnival's identification number is Code City ‘Carnival Florida’
  • You must specify that the money is for guests on board a cruise ship. The following information must be provided: Guest’s Name, Booking Number, Ship and Sail Date and Stateroom Number. 

Once the transaction has been completed. you may check the status by calling Western Union at 800 325-6000, press 199 and your telephone number.
