Transfers can be pre-purchased through Carnival up to 5 days prior to the sail date.

Los Angeles International Airport – LAX

Long Beach Airport – LGB

Embarkation Hours: 1:00pm-4:30pm / Ship Departure: 5:30pm 

  • Latest arrival flight into LAX before embarkation: 3:00pm
  • Earliest return flight out of LAX after debarkation: 12:00pm
  • Latest arrival flight into LGB before embarkation: 3:30pm
  • Earliest return flight out of LGB after debarkation: 11:00am

Ships:  Carnival Miracle and Carnival Splendor
Embarkation Hours: 1:00pm-3:30pm / Ship Departure: 4:30pm

Day of Embarkation: Meet and Greet Service / Motor Coach Service / Purchase of Transfers

Los Angeles International Airport

  • Guests arriving into Los Angeles International Airport that have pre-purchased transfers with Carnival need to collect their luggage and proceed to Baggage Claim #1 of their arriving terminal to meet with a Carnival Rep (carrying a CCL hand-held sign for visibility). For guests arriving into Terminal 3, proceed to Baggage Claim A. Guests arriving internationally will be met outside the Customs screening area. Once there, the Carnival Rep will escort guests to the transfer bus.
  • For guests arriving prior to the sail date, return to Terminal 1 at Baggage Claim #1 on cruise day, between 9:30am-12:00pm. Once there, a Carnival Rep will meet and escort guests to the transfer bus. 
  • Transfer service start and end time are subject to change based on reported flight details on the transfer manifest.  Service is provided between 9:30am and 2:30pm for ships departing at 4:30pm, or 3:30pm for ships deprting at 5:30pm, on the day of embarkation only. Motor coaches depart the airport once an adequate number of guests have arrived, approximately every 20-30 minutes. Los Angeles International Airport is 23 miles from the port and travel times is approximately 30 minutes (without traffic).  
  • Transfer Provider: For those guests who have pre-purchased transfers, the Transfer company and telephone number is printed in the guest’s e-docs. Refer the guest to this telephone number if they are not able to locate a Carnival Rep.
  • One way transfers can be purchased at the airport while our Meet & Greet staff is onsite. The airport is staffed based on known flights reported on the transfer manifest. Once all known flights are met, staff is released and service is no longer available. The Carnival Rep will be located in the baggage claim area. Cash payment is not accepted; the transfers are charged directly to the guest’s Sail & Sign Account.

Long Beach Airport

  • Guests arriving into Long Beach Airport, a Carnival Rep (carrying a CCL hand-held sign for visibility) will meet guests at the airport’s baggage claim area after collecting their luggage. Once there, the Carnival Rep will escort guests to the transfer bus.
  • For guests arriving prior to the sail date, return to the JetBlue Baggage Claim area on cruise day, between 9:30am-12:00pm. Contact Intercruises to coordinate a pick-up time.
  • Transfer service start and end time are subject to change based on reported flight details on the transfer manifest.  Service is provided between 9:30am and 3:00pm for ships departing at 4:30pm, or 4:00pm for ships departing at 5:30pm, on the day of embarkation only. Motor coaches depart the airport once an adequate number of guests have arrived, approximately every 20-30 minutes. Long Beach Airport is 12 miles from the port and travel times is approximately 19 minutes (without traffic).  
  • Transfer Provider: For those guests who have pre-purchased transfers, the Transfer company and telephone number is printed in the guest’s e-docs. Refer the guest to this telephone number if they are not able to locate a Carnival Rep.

Day of Debarkation: Purchase of Transfers / Motor Coach Service

  • One-way transfers to the airport can be purchased on board at the Guest Services Desk for guests who did not previously purchase the transfers. Guests who elect to wait and purchase one-way transfers at curbside may be subject to higher prices.
  • Transfer service begins at approximately 8:00am; motor coaches will not leave the cruise terminal until an adequate number of guests are on board, approximately every 20-30 minutes.
