Embarkation Check-In Time
We know that providing a smooth embarkation experience is an important part of getting your vacation off to a great start. By staggering guests’ arrival time at the cruise terminal, we will be able to streamline our embarkation process and enhance your boarding experience. Staggered Check-In is in place in all embarkation ports.

You are required to check-in at embarkation at least 60 minutes prior to the published ship departure time or risk cancellation of your reservation. You may access staterooms no earlier than 1:30pm, unless you are a VIFP Diamond or Platinum level guest or have purchased Faster to the Fun.

Boarding time and ship departures times may vary according to the embarkation port and/or ship you are cruising on - check here for the time for your cruise.

Guests who have purchased Carnival's optional transfers

Arrival at the Airport

  • You will be met by the Meet & Greet Staff either on the arrival level (just beyond security check point) or the Baggage Claim area.
  • You will claim your own luggage while in the Baggage Claim area.
  • The Meet & Greet Staff will gather all Carnival guests and lead you (with your luggage) to the motor coaches once there are enough guests to fill up a motor coach.

Arrival at the Cruise Terminal

  • You will debark the motor coach and claim your luggage. You may elect to carry your own luggage on board if it does not exceed 16 inches high x 24 inches wide, laying flat on the security screening machine (40.64cm x 60.96cm); the length of the bag is not a factor. Should the luggage be larger in size, you must turn it over to a porter; customary tip for this service is $1.00 per bag.
  • Note: We suggest all luggage be unlocked before turning over to the porters in order to avoid any inconvenience or delay in delivering the luggage to the stateroom. Should you choose not to unlock the bags and prohibited items are found during screening, the luggage will be retained until the you can open it in front of security personnel.
  • Note: We highly recommend our guests to personally carry any valuables, medications and items requiring special handling onto the ship.
  • You will proceed into the cruise terminal for check-in based on your pre-selected check-in window.
