Carnival's 'towel animals' are whimsical terry cloth creatures that greet our guests as they return to their staterooms each evening - an iconic element of the 'Fun Ship' vacation experience.

Carnival introduced its first towel animals in 1991 - an industry first that has since been much replicated across the cruise industry. Each creation is the culmination of hours of training and creativity from our housekeeping staff.

NEW!  Carnival Magic’s housekeeping team have taken it to a new level and created 'towel people'. Creating dozens of  'towel people' takes several hours to construct and this entertaining collection of terrycloth men, women and children surprise Carnival Magic’s guests when they head to breakfast on Lido Deck.

They may be made out of flat towels, but there's nothing two-dimensional about the performance at the Towel Animal Theater as these cute little guys from your stateroom come to life (on select ships).

Towel Creations
For guests who want to make their own towel animals at home, Carnival has published 'Towel Creations', a helpful how-to guide with step-by-step instructions for creating a veritable zoo of towel origami, everything from frogs, swans and elephants to monkeys, scorpions and rabbits.

'Towel Creations' is available in the gift shops aboard all Carnival ships, as well as from the our stateroom stewards. The book can also be ordered via the Fun Shops website at www.carnival.com/Funshops and delivered to the guests’ stateroom. The cost is $14.95 USD. $1.00 from the purchase of each book will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® through Carnival’s ‘Care to Play’ program
